A walk from The Queen Bee Cabin, Much Birch to Aconbury Wood

The Hive to Aconbury Wood, Little Birch.
  1. With your back to The Hive, turn right towards Little Birch

2. You will come to a junction with Wrigglebrook Lane to your left, and a steep incline ahead of you, keep going.

3. At the top of the incline, you will come to a crossroads, the road ahead of you is called Parish Lane, cross the roads and continue on Parish Lane.

4. Continue on Parish Lane, till you come to another crossroads, again, continue straight on! 

5. This short stretch of road joins Barrack Hill, turn right onto Barrack Hill.

6. Just a few steps on Barrack Hill, you will see the open space in the picture below on your left.

7.  Just past this open space, you will see the opening below. It is VERY easy to miss. If you manage not to miss it, that is great. Just walk through it all the way, you will arrive at the entrance to Aconbury Wood.

 

8. If you see the building below, you have missed the quickest entry to Aconbury Wood. It is however not a disaster, just walk past it and look on your left.

 

9. You will see the chapel in the picture below on your left, turn left here.

10. You will see the sign below in front of the chapel, turn left and walk for about sixty or so metres.

11. You are there! This is one of the many entrances into Aconbury Wood.
