Walking to Carrot and Wine Store, Wormerlow from The Queen Bee Cabin

Directions to Carrot and Wine from The Queen Bee Cabin, Much Birch

Our local shop, carrot and wine is just over one mile. You can get all the essentials from them, including firewood, should you decide to use the firepit or our gorgeous outdoor pizza oven.  Here are the directions from outside The Hive, Much Birch.

  1. Turn right and walk towards  Little Birch. Pass Diggers Den on your right, a few metres after walking past Diggers Den, you will see a left turn. More a lovely tree lined tunnel than a road, turn left. You may see squirrels, rabbits of different colours, including a white, please do not follow the white rabbit or any other wildlife, we all know what happened to Alice in Wonderland when she followed the white rabbit. 

2.  The other side of the tree lined tunnel brings you to an intersection of roads. Right ahead of you is Tump lane. You want to cross over to Tum Lane and follow the lane to the bottom. 

3.  Towards the bottom of Tump Lane, you will walk past Violette Szabo museum.

4.  Turn left at the bottom of Tump Lane. You will walk past The Tump Inn, Wormelow Garage, an old red telephone box that is now a library. It is definitely larger on the insider than the outside suggests but sorry,  it’s now the tardis. 

5.  You will walk past Wormelow Cricket Club to your left. There is actually a sign pointing to Carrot and Wine at the gate of the cricket club.

6.   A few metres down the road from the Cricket Club, on the right hand side, is the Carrot and Wine Stores.
